Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his life to fighting against caste-based discrimination and striving for equal rights and opportunities for all. His teachings are particularly relevant today as we witness instances of caste discrimination and untouchability. For instance, despite legal measures in place, cases of caste-based violence and discrimination continue to emerge. The struggles faced by Dalits in education, employment, and social interactions remind us of the ongoing relevance of Dr. Ambedkar's thoughts. Dr. Ambedkar's thoughts continue to shape contemporary struggles against caste discrimination. Movements like the Bhim Army, which advocate for Dalit rights and mobilize marginalized communities, draw inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar's philosophy to challenge systemic oppression and demand social justice.

Education as a Tool for Empowerment:

Dr. Ambedkar strongly believed in the transformative power of education. He recognized that education was crucial for the upliftment and empowerment of marginalized communities. Also Dr. Ambedkar believed that ‘‘Education is fruitless without educated women’’. In today's world, education remains a potent instrument for social change. By providing quality education to all, we can break the cycle of poverty, empower individuals to fulfill their potential, and bridge the existing societal gaps. Additionally, many states, like Haryana, Chandigarh, and Tripura, give scholarships to those who are pursuing higher education. The Maharashtra government offers scholarships for SC students who participate in competitive exams.

Women's Rights and Gender Equality:

Dr. Ambedkar was a fierce advocate for women's rights and gender equality. He highlighted the importance of ensuring equal opportunities and protections for women. Dr. Ambedkar said‘‘I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved." His thoughts on gender equality are highly relevant in the contemporary era as societies worldwide strive to achieve gender parity. Instances of gender-based violence, unequal pay, and limited representation in leadership positions serve as reminders of the work that still needs to be done.

Reservation Policy and Affirmative Action:

Dr. Ambedkar played a significant role in the formulation of India's reservation policy, which aimed to provide opportunities and representation to historically disadvantaged groups. Reservation policies in Education and Employment have enabled individuals from marginalized communities to access opportunities that were previously denied to them. While the system may require periodic evaluation and refinement, Dr. Ambedkar's ideas guide us in creating policies that bridge the socio-economic gaps and promote inclusivity.
